Responsibilities and duties of the "Purchasing" are defined as follows.

  • Draw up documentation for the selection of suppliers/contractors and for the execution of tenders, in compliance with laws and internal regulations;
  • Management of strategic contracts for terms, conditions and economics issues and for the consideration of any possible alternative.
  • Collaborate on the preparation of procurement plans and programs and, on the basis of the definitive plan, prepare and stipulate the procurement contracts of its competence, in compliance with 3SUN policies and regulations, and deal with the management on non-standard contracts issued;
  • Select suppliers, conduct tender commissions, evaluate offers and negotiate the best market conditions for contracts, whilst respecting the times and quality requested;
  • Collaborate with the requesting units in the definition of technical specifications, requirements and conditions of the tender, contributing to highlighting possible technical solutions and technologies available on the market, with a view to overall cost optimization, using design to cost methodologies
  • Analyze and consolidate 3SUN's requirements plan, monitor procurement plan and related purchasing programs;
  • Promote and strengthen initiative to improve procurement processes, in collaboration with the requesting units and other 3SUN staff functions;
  • Ensure support to units in charge of budgeting, reporting processes and monitoring of the Purchasing operating management and assure 3SUN's control purchase information system.
